WHO WE ARE
The six dynamic Career and Technical Student Organizations in NM empower students to...
-
explore career paths;
-
develop leadership skills;
-
and become productive citizens!
CTSOs are the professional component integral to a well-structured Career and Technical Educational program. They provide the hands-on and industry-based skill experiences to prepare students for both workforce and further education in that career pursuit. In contrast to extra-curricular programs, these co-curricular student leadership organizations are designed to connect to and extend learning well beyond the walls of the classroom and breathe life into NM's career clusters.
"When I was in college trying to decide what to get a degree in, I often thought of the impact BPA had on me and how much I enjoyed it along with my high school accounting class. I decided to get a bachelor degree in accounting and then a master degree in accountancy. Now I have worked in a public accounting firm for two years completing tax returns for individuals and business and performing audits of banks, school districts, and local governments."
